Expert Techniques Landscape Photography Workshop
Join Nature By Nathan and Tasmanian Photography Tours for an immersive landscape photography masterclass.
Sunday, July 26th, 2026
Designed as a hands-on practical experience, this workshop is built to elevate your landscape photography beyond the fundamentals. You’ll learn how to work around the technical limitations of your camera equipment and take control in various challenging conditions for optimal image sharpness and dynamic range. This workshop is all about unlocking creative possibilities that aren’t achievable with a single exposure.
Throughout the day, you’ll be guided by two experienced instructors who will break down advanced techniques in a clear, structured way. The workshop begins in a classroom setting, where we cover the theory and post-processing workflows behind each method. From there, we head into the field to apply these techniques in real-world conditions, ensuring you leave with both the knowledge and the practical experience to implement them confidently.
What You’ll Learn
Mastering exposure and dynamic range: understanding the relationship between ISO, shutter speed, and aperture
Exposure bracketing for full dynamic range capture
Focus stacking for front-to-back sharpness
Time blending for optimal light and conditions
ISO and shutter blending techniques
Processing RAW files using Camera Raw, Photoshop, and related software
Open Q&A support tailored to your individual challenges and goals
This masterclass is ideal for photographers looking to refine their workflow, improve image quality, and gain a deeper technical understanding of modern landscape photography.
Why a Nature By Nathan Workshop?
I have been passionately photographing Australia for the past decade, for many of those years I have also been running workshops and tours, ranging from 1.5hours to 15 days! Nothing brings me greater joy than sharing that passion with other keen photographers.
The goal of my services is to offer value for money in both the experiences and education - There are no photography secrets on my workshops or tours, I will share everything I know when it comes to helping you become a better photographer.

We do not treat our events as our own personal photography trip. We only plan tours at locations where we are knowledgeable and experienced. This tour is about you. Whilst we may have my own cameras in hand throughout some of this experience it is for demonstrative purposes, and the guest's photography always comes first!
Testimonials
Hi Nathan
I wanted to send my sincere thanks for your personalised tuition and flexibility to ensure we all had a fantastic learning experience during your recent Cervantes-Jurien Bay Landscape and Astrophotography Workshop. Your workshop provided me with plenty of new information which I could put into practice there and then, and review with you in a timely manner.
With only six participants doing the workshop, we all received plenty of individual tuition which I found very helpful, especially in reinforcing your suggested techniques to take a quality and striking image.
The locations for each session provided unique photographic opportunities, I gained much new knowledge, which I can now put into practice.
I thoroughly enjoyed your workshop. We had a wonderful group of like-minded participants who were happy to share their personalised knowledge when it came to camera equipment and were great to chat to.
Thank you and I look forward to reviewing and editing my photographs and applying my new knowledge when out and about photographing.
With kindest regards,

I have attended two of Nathan’s photography workshops and have found these to be incredibly thorough and excellent value for money. Nathan is extremely knowledgeable in his craft and would highly recommend his workshops. I am also a Patreon of Nature by Nathan and find his content very useful - again providing excellent value for money.

Went on Nathan's 4-day photography workshop adventure in Karijini in April 2022 and it was one of the most amazing experiences! Nathan was not only an incredible teacher when it came to capturing breath-taking photos, but also an awesome guide through the Park over the 4 days; extremely generous with his time and knowledge. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend every workshop to everyone!

What You Will Need
A DSLR or Mirrorless Camera.
Fully charged camera batteries – We recommend at least one spare battery for this workshop.
Memory card with plenty of storage (at least 64gb recommended).
Lenses – If you need advice we will guide you. A wide-angle zoom lens (e.g. 14-24mm/16-35mm) is most appropriate and a mid-range zoom (e.g. 24-105, 70-200) is also very useful.
Lens Filters – A CPL (Circular Polarizer) is highly recommended. Neutral Density (ND) filters may come in handy but are not needed.
A good, sturdy tripod.
Good footwear – walking boots preferably as it may be wet and muddy.
Warm clothing, it can be cold out there. This needs to be a warm jumper and pants, beanie, gloves and a good waterproof jacket.
