Photograph some of Victoria's best landscapes on this epic 5 day photography tour!
The Grampians & Great Ocean Road
March 15 - 19 2027 | 5 Days | Maximum 3 Guests

Over five days, we’ll explore and photograph dramatic landscapes along Victoria’s Great Ocean Road and Grampians mountain range (Gariwerd), with an itinerary packed full of epic locations.
Along the coast, we’ll capture rugged cliffs, towering sea stacks, sweeping beaches, rocky coves and some of the region’s most iconic landscapes. Inland, the scenery changes completely, with lakes, rugged mountain ranges, and waterfalls throughout the Grampians National Park.
With five days in the region and a maximum of just three guests, this is the perfect introduction to the landscapes Victoria has on offer. Our small group keeps the experience personal and helps us manage the crowds often found at popular locations.
From dramatic coastline to rugged mountain ranges and waterfalls, the combination of the Great Ocean Road and Grampians offers an exceptional variety of landscapes to photograph.
Why a Nature By Nathan Photography Tour?
I have been passionately photographing Australia for the past decade, for many of those years I have also been running workshops and tours, ranging from 1.5hours to 15 days! Nothing brings me greater joy than sharing that passion with other keen photographers.

The goal of my tours is to offer value for money in both the experiences and education -  There are no photography secrets on my workshops or tours, I will share everything I know when it comes to helping you become a better photographer. My tours are deliberately small, catering for a maximum of 3-4 guests, which avoids overcrowding, and ensures you have plenty of 1 on 1 time.

This is not my own personal photography trip. I only plan tours at locations where I am knowledgeable and experienced. This tour isn't "the Nathan show" - it's about you, and the beautiful destination that we are visiting. Whilst I may have my own camera in hand throughout some of this tour, it is usually for demonstrative purposes, and the guest's photography always comes first!

Testimonials
Hi Nathan

I wanted to send my sincere thanks for your personalised tuition and flexibility to ensure we all had a fantastic learning experience during your recent Cervantes-Jurien Bay Landscape and Astrophotography Workshop. Your workshop provided me with plenty of new information which I could put into practice there and then, and review with you in a timely manner.
With only six participants doing the workshop, we all received plenty of individual tuition which I found very helpful, especially in reinforcing your suggested techniques to take a quality and striking image.

The locations for each session provided unique photographic opportunities, I gained much new knowledge, which I can now put into practice.
I thoroughly enjoyed your workshop. We had a wonderful group of like-minded participants who were happy to share their personalised knowledge when it came to camera equipment and were great to chat to.

Thank you and I look forward to reviewing and editing my photographs and applying my new knowledge when out and about photographing.

With kindest regards,
- Lindy R.

I have attended two of Nathan’s photography workshops and have found these to be incredibly thorough and excellent value for money. Nathan is extremely knowledgeable in his craft and would highly recommend his workshops. I am also a Patreon of Nature by Nathan and find his content very useful - again providing excellent value for money.

Went on Nathan's 4-day photography workshop adventure in Karijini in April 2022 and it was one of the most amazing experiences! Nathan was not only an incredible teacher when it came to capturing breath-taking photos, but also an awesome guide through the Park over the 4 days; extremely generous with his time and knowledge. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend every workshop to everyone!

Tour Itinerary
All Nature By Nathan photography tours run with a flexible itinerary. I've been doing it this way for years so that guests get the best photographic opportunities possible, dependent on the weather conditions.

Imagine booking into a tour with a rigid itinerary, and heading out to do astrophotography on a cloudy night, when the sky was clear the day before, just because you need to stick to the schedule! That doesn't seem right to us - so instead we adapt to the weather conditions and pick the best location from the list of potential shooting areas.

On this tour we will have:

- 4 Morning Sessions
- 4 Afternoon Sessions
- An Astrophotography Shoot (weather depending)
- 2 Post Processing Sessions

Locations we may photograph include:

- Boroka Lookout
- Mackenzie Falls
- The Balconies
- Lakeview Lookout
- The 12 Apostles
- Loch Ard Gorge
- Gibson Steps

Plus any other locations we see suitable to visit throughout the workshop!
